BIOGRAPHICAL NOTE
Angélica Tanus Benatti Alvim: Architect and Urban Planner graduated from Belas Artes Faculty, São Paulo, Brazil, 1986; Master and Doctorate in the same field from the University of São Paulo, 1996 and 2003 respectively. Since 1991, she has been working as a professor, and since 2019, she has held the position of Full Professor at the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism of the Mackenzie Presbyterian University (FAU-UPM). Throughout her academic career, she has taught undergraduate and postgraduate courses, supervised several master's and doctoral degrees, and also held several administrative positions at UPM, including Director of FAU-UPM from 2016 to 2023, General Coordinator of Stricto Sensu Postgraduate Studies at UPM from 2013 to 2016, Coordinator of the Postgraduate Programme in Architecture and Urbanism at FAU-UPM from 2010 to 2013, and Research Coordinator at FAU-UPM from 2008 to 2010. Additionally, between 2015 and 2016, she was President of the National Association of Research and Postgraduate Studies in Architecture and Urbanism (ANPARQ), a fundamental role in the Brazilian research community. She is a CNPq 1D Research Productivity Fellow and leader of the Research Group "Contemporary Urbanism: networks, systems and processes". Her areas of expertise include urban planning and design, urban mobility and environmental studies. Angélica is also the author of several articles published in scientific journals, books and book chapters.
